Dimovo municipality is located in northwestern Bulgaria. City Dimov center of the municipality of IV functional type. The municipality is separated by Decree № 2704 of the State Council of the Republic of Bulgaria 28.08.1987 and is an integral part of Vidin, North-East with a total area of ​​402.866 m2 which represents 13.3% of the territory of the region. Bordered by six other Municipalies the field – Belogradchik, Ruzhintsi, Chuprene, and Makresh Vidin and Lom Municipality of Montana. As an “open system” municipality realizes its ties with them and other settlements in the region and the country through eight input-output.
Road transport network includes mostly third class and fourth-roads. In the town. Majdanpek Municipality is situated in the northern part of Eastern Serbia and covers the area of the largest forest and mining complexes in Eastern Serbia.With an area of 932 km2 municipality Majdanpek is located on the eleventh place in the Republic of Serbia.
Administratively the municipality borders the municipalities Branicevski areas in the southwest (Golubac, Kucevo and Žagubica) and 3 municipalities of the region Bor (Kladovo, Negotin and Bor) in the eastern and southern part of the territory, and northern territory of the Danube is a natural border with Romania.
The municipality of Majdanpek has 14 villages.
The terrain is hilly or mountainous mainly (76% of municipalities), alpine area covers only 0.9% and 23% of the flat-hilly terrain.
